Turtle Insert
Modifying a CopperSmith fixture with a Turtle Insert will offer an attractive lighting fixture that effectively combines wildlife friendly lighting with the natural beauty of copper.
When lamped with a long wavelength light source such as red, amber or orange LED bulb, the Turtle Insert will emit a low impact light from the bottom of the fixture bright enough to illuminate a dark walkway for safe passage.
The copper base of the Turtle Insert can be rotated to control the amount of light emitted through an aperture on the bottom of the fixture. The light source is concealed with a metal sleeve and covered by a decorative, frosted hurricane shade (see images below).
